Spontaneous bruising

I have been bruising just on my arms for the past 6 months, large and small, all over my arms, i currently have 21 small bruises on my left arm and 4 on my right arm.  They vary in size.  I am not on a blood thinner.  I have had the routine bloodworkup and a PT and INR done.  I have been in the health field for over 25 yrs and have never seen this.  Nor has my Dr.  I am trying to get a consult with a Hematologist.  What do you think??

Well, you have two issues. A clotting issue and an issue with fragility of the skin. 1000 mg a day of crystaline vitamin C should help with the skin fragility. Vitamin K deficiency is often (but not always) the cause of bruising. K is a prescription item too dangerous to take without a physician's approval, but a good multivitamin that contains 25% of the daily dose of vitamin K (not all do) should help a lot.
