Stomach Cramp, Diarrhea, sweating , light headedness and fainting

I have experienced on 4 occasions in the last 6 years a rather weird Diarrhoea attack which really is painful and scary. Here is a description of what occurs.

1. Sudden abdominal pain which increases in intensity over a short time. The same sensation one might get when they are about to get Diarrhoea.

2. I go to the toilet and try excreting whatever wants to come out. However after about a minute of sitting there with nothing coming out I suddenly few light headed and am starting to get a dizzy spell like I am about to faint and my breathing weakens.

3. This borderline fainting sensation lasts for about another minute before I break out into a sudden sweat all over my body. Within a few seconds I have sweat literally pouring out of me, my clothes are wet as if I ran a marathon or something.

4. After a minute of sweating I suddenly feel something coming out of my rear end. I try to squeeze it out and only a hard stool comes out.

5. The sweating stops and the stomach cramp subsides. I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes).

6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state. It takes a few minutes to subside and once I

OMG I've never done anything like this before but after reading your story I had to respond. The EXACT same thing happened to me last night but I was by myself so I just kept praying I would be okay even though I was convinced I was going to dye. The same thing happens to me about ever 6 months and I don't know why? I would love to know what causes this because I'm scared to eat anything in fear it will happen again :-(

got up stood in front of the sink to wash, next thing I remembered I was
laying on the floor..
It is good to know I am not crazy or dying... However treatment seems
to be a bit problematic...
Thanks to you all

This might help explain why fructose is not your friend. and how other complex sugars are not always either.....Carbohydrates are single sugars, or two sugars bound together, or thousands of sugars bound together called starch, or millions of sugars bound together called fiber. No carbohydrate can pass from your intestines into your bloodstream until it is broken down into a single sugar. For example, milk contains a double sugar called lactose that must be broken down into two single sugars before it can be absorbed into your bloodstream. Fifty percent of people on this earth get gas, cramping and diarrhea when they drink milk. To break the double sugar called lactose into the single sugars, your intestines must produce an enzyme called lactase. If your intestines do not produce lactase, you cannot split the double sugar into single sugars, and the double sugar cannot be absorbed in your upper intestines, so it passes to your colon, where bacteria ferment it to form gas, cramping and diarrhea.Fructose is a single sugar that is absorbed much more slowly than another sugar called glucose. Most of the fructose in you intestines is converted to glucose and then absorbed into the bloodstream. The fructose that is absorbed goes directly to your liver where it is converted to glucose. Some people have intestines that do not convert fructose to glucose rapidly. Therefore , the fructose is not absorbed in the upper intestinal tract and it passes to the colon where bacteria ferment it to form gas, cramping and diarrhea. These people should avoid foods that are high in fructose, particularly those made with high fructose corn syrup. High fructose corn syrup is used in almost all soft drinks and fruit beverages , in cookies, gum, jams, jellies and baked goods, and a wide variety of other processed foods. This study suggests that 30 to 60 percent of patients with irritable bowel syndrome have fructose intolerance and can be cured by avoiding foods made with fructose, i am going to try this will let you all know how i get on

Let me tell you about my Christmas miracle!  On Christmas eve I ate a few too many spices and drank some lemonade.  Between the citrus acid in the lemonade and the spices I was concerned on Christmas day when that feeling started.  You know the one when you can feel the episode coming on.  So I thought maybe if I stay hydrated it might help.  I drank plenty of water to keep the stomach pain from coming, I took a pill for the nausea layed down and put my feet up.  I was convinced that if I could go to the bathroom on my own it would keep me from going into a full episode.  So after pushing out a little something I felt 100% better.  I was able to get up and cook dinner for my family.

I'm not really sure what helped.  I believe drinking plenty of water from the onset may have prevented the full episode.  I still had a reaction with the IBS but it was a lot less severe.

Also had parasites and did not know YUCK. Treated that with a highly rated one off amazon and it helped as well this year with many of the intestinal issues I thought were IBS. It may have also played into this.

Oh wow.. it's comforting in a way to finally know I am not alone! I had mixed emotions reading what you guys were saying seeing as how I share every single symptom except fainting/passing out although I do always feel like I am close to passing out. I am sooooo sorry to hear you guys suffer from this as well because you know how bad this hurts! I hope that one day they will give what we have a name and a cure! I know I fear every night that I may wake up with a episode. I have noticed the odds of me having one seems to be greatly increased when I eat shortly before bed! But I even have them without eating before bed as well just more common. Again guys I am glad to see I am not suffering from something that only I am going through and again I wish you guys the best I know what you are going through! :(
