Hey everyone. So I've been dealing with these symptoms for years now and have still not found the cause with my doctors. I'm hoping to get some new leads here, maybe look for some new specialists in the NY/NJ area. It all started out with severe body aches, fatigue, fever, chills, swollen glands, headaches. It used to happen almost every month, usually around my period. My ENT thought it was because of tonsillitis, so I had my tonsils and adenoids removed. However after my surgery I got symptoms again. Not quite as bad. It wouldn't happen every month, or the symptoms would be super mild. I usually have fatigue and the swollen gland on my right side (the one between your neck and chin). I haven't noticed getting fevers but I would get that overall feeling that you typically get with fevers. The newest symptoms has been sores in my mouth, close to where my tonsils were. My doctor is having me tested for herpes and I'm waiting for the results, however another doctor looked at my sore and doesn't think it is herpes. He thinks it's a sore that comes when your immune system is weak (which makes sense since I was on antibiotics and on my period at the time). I have had blood work done and my antibodies tested, but everything has come up normal. Same with urine tests. I've asked my gyno about it in case there was any relation to my period, but she didn't think it was anything relating to that. Before my tonsillectomy, my ENT had tested me for Chronic Active Epstein-Barr Virus (CAEBV). One of the three tests came out positive, but when he looked at the results he said it wasn't CAEBV (maybe you have to have certain tests come out positive for it to be that or something, Idk). I had also been tested for strept a couple times and those were negative. I'm at my witt's end! Please help!
