It started as a draining abcess (smelt foul like manure). 2nd course of antibiotics (helped a bit), I developed a 2nd abcess elsewhere... came to a white head and broke giving thick white pus that I couldnt smell at all.
A tooth extraction at original point didnt totally clear the infection and a couple of months later used mouthwashing then 3rd antibiotic.... finally cleared the smelly infection.
However there was also non-smelly exudate the whole time. That continues 7 months later. Slightly fizzy/acidic taste, bitter and sometimes metallicy overtones. Over the day the fizziness becomes irritated tingling on the tongue then stinging... very unpleasant need chewing gum by afternoon to overcome (like TENS, overlaying with a pleasant stinging!). Painfull stinging makes getting to sleep difficult.
Originally the stinging leakage was at abcess site, then after extraction, moved slowly from one side to other of gap and then a couple of teeth along to an implant and leaked around there. Now worse and can happen anywhere in the mouth but mainly around the gums as described above.
When does it occur. All the time, especially when turning neck which squeezes it out, and when massaging eg top of hear, temples, back of neck, chest and abdomen (assume through working the muscles down through the neck) (either hand not just the more affected side)
It feels as if ??plasma leaks wherever it can (what does plasma taste of?). Maxillofacial clinic: xray=no infection, so they have no idea what this is, advise me to 'try not to pay attention to it'.
... not easy for me... I have ME /CF/IDs and so spend a lot of time lying down and resting.... reading isn't distracting enough! And this is just one more nasty symptom I shouldn't pay attention to....
Note I am pro-modern-medicine (used to be a medical rep), but I'm left with all sorts of things that medicine can do nothing/very little for!!! Your help / comments / advice very welcome.
