Swollen glands under in my neck

The glands in my neck (under my jaw) have been swollen for about 4 months now. They have never really hurt. But i've been getting sick (mainly just symptoms of a cold. Runny nose, post nasal drip or a headache a few times. And once i had a sore throat) off and on the whole time. Though, when i do get better i still have mucus that i'm hawking up throughout the day (its usually clear or bright yellow). I've been given antibiotics twice but it mainly just takes away my headaches and stuff. Sometimes i've felt the glands and they've gone down, but then i will feel later and they are back to being swollen. Could this be sinus related or anything? I really want to get rid of whatever it is. Im really tired of being sick off and on.

I was sort of thinking of Mono, too.  So, it wouldn't hurt to post this in the Epstein Barré (EBV) community as well.  Someone there would know if this sounds like Mono or other type of EBV, because the community leaders and other regulars have already had to deal with this sort of thing and have had to get educated about the various types and sub types of EBV out there.  Mono is one of the EBV types.

I'm not sure, but the swollen glands that are still swollen makes me think of auto immune illness.  I'm not entirely sure which one, but I would definitely post the question in the auto immune community.  Someone there could possibly help you discover what this is.  Usually people with the specific auto illnesses that they've identified and have been diagnosed are still in the general auto immune community.  And, the thing is, swollen glands can be a sign of more than one kind--or it can be a stubborn sinus infection that has affected the glands.  Either way, you still need to figure out what is going on, because four months of this is certainly too much.
