Undiagnosed complications after whipple surgery (pancreatic cancer removal)

My dad (58 years old) has been diagnosed with a mass on the head of pancreas and had to do the whipple surgery.
After 9 days from the surgery with no complications at all he had a hypertensive crisis where his blood pressure jumped to 210/110 and got pulmonary edema at the same time, that made him not conscious at all, unable to breath, unable to move the right side of his body and had convulsions all over his left side.
His medical history: he had a brain stroke and a duodenum hemorrhagic ulcer one year ago. The pathology of pancreatic mass isn’t done yet. He has high blood pressure and takes a medicament for it and has no heart problems.
Note: English isn’t my first language..

Hello, very sorry to hear about your dad. That's all very serious things and I'm sure stressful for you all.  How is your dad now with regards to the cardiac crisis?  Are you thinking that his crisis was caused by the whipple surgery?

I'm only asking because he seems to have over a year of very serious health concerns and that is taxing on the body and heart.  I'm not sure the surgery has a side effect of cardiac issues over a week later but your dad's body has been through the ringer.  I assume he is under physician care currently for this matter. What are his doctors telling you?
