Undiagnosed lower back pain stemming from hemi sacral fracture

March 26, 2016 while active duty in the Marine Corps I sustained a L hemisacral fracture, continued field training operations for 18 hours. Pain focused in the lower back/ buttocks area and the left hip and groin. Pain advanced to the left front of thigh and lower leg by month 2.
Narcotic pain meds prescribed for flights. High dose NSAIDs prescribed for every day use.  Spent 3 months non-weight bearing on crutches and basic ROM physical therapy. Transitioned off crutches and into strengthening and more ROM physical therapy. In this time medications tried included many NSAIDs (no difference in pain noted), Torodol injections (2 days relief, pain lessened to a 3/10). Due to circumstances of the medical holding platoon I was in there was little 'rest' for it beyond sleeping time. Pain at initial injury was 7/10. First 3 months averages a 6-8/10 with 2-3 hours a week of a 9/10.
Months 4-6 very little improvement was seen in motion or pain. Nerve conduction study came back clean, L-spine MRI was clean, pelvic X-Rays clean...
Discharged for not healing/them thinking I was faking. I am on month 9 now and have 3-4 hours a month at a 9/10 pain. most days are 5-7/10. Currently on medical cannabis and occasional Percocet for pain. Have tried gabapenton with great relief...negative nerve study.

Currently, can not run a single step, can not jump, climb stairs quickly, touch the toes on my left foot, stand or sit longer than 30 minutes without increased pain and can not hold a job.
I do not have a doctor until the VA picks up my claim. I just want help.

Magnesium citrate 600 mg, zinc and calcium for bone healing (take mag in morning and calcium at night).  Try acupuncture.  Turmeric as golden paste, which means you use a recipe that gives you healthy fat and fresh ground black pepper with it.

Hello~ First, I want to thank you for your service.

After reading what you have written, I honestly think that a chiropractor could be of help. You obviously have misplaced vertebrae in your lower back, and this is going to cause all kinds of pain. The chiropractor will take x-rays of the area that is giving you difficulties and will be able to determine if he/she can indeed help. After a few treatments, you should start to feel better.
