The doctors including the std people i have seen at the uk gum clinics dont believe i could have caught amyyhing from this and are attributing all my symptoms to stress and anxiety over the incident which is all i have thought about for the last 5 months. I have been tested for celiac and thyroid issues and have repeatedly come back with normal blood tests and also i now have a clear parasite test which i did the other day.
Do you have any comments around the symptoms and if they could all be due to the anxiety surrounding this event?
I also forgot to mention i developed a white tongue after the incident which is with me still to this day.
do appreciate your concerns in light of your symptoms. Well, sexually transmitted diseases cannot spread through lubricant applied through an applicator used on other people. You can however get scabies and pubic lice through sharing personal use items, as also bacterial and fungal skin infections.
STDs can transmit from close sexual contact like touching of private parts and oral sex etc, even if there was no penetration of penis (vaginal, oral or anal). Hence, you can complete your HIV testing by doing a test on completion of 6 months. You did not mention herpes—were you tested for it? If no, then include this in HIV testing on completion of 6 months.
Your symptoms could be due to an infective or inflammatory bowel disease. You may be having this disease but the symptoms may have got aggravated due to the stress and anxiety you have over the ‘encounter’.
Worms are the commonest cause of anal itch. This can be confirmed by a simple stool test. Itchy anus can also be due to undigested food like citrus fruits, grapes, certain spices, tomatoes, certain medicines like antibiotics and laxatives and certain drinks like beer, milk, tea, or coffee. IBS, Crohn’s and food intolerance should also be looked into. Anal fissures, hemorrhoids, threadworms can all cause anal itch. Itch can also be due to irritants like synthetic fiber, toiletries or fungal infection. Genital warts and sores of herpes should also be ruled out. Eczema, dermatitis and fungal infection can also cause this.
Since you also have occasional abdominal pain and gurgling sounds from your abdomen, parasitic infestation (worms), IBS, Crohn’s and celiac disease should be ruled out first. If there is a chance that the lubricant went into your mouth, then it could be an allergic reaction to the lubricant that probably triggered the infective or inflammatory bowel disease.
The constant phlegm in your mouth and ear ache (due to Eustachian tube getting blocked by secretions) can be due to a bad gastric reflux. Accompanying acidity and H pylori infection can build up gas in the gut and may be responsible for the sharp pain in tip of penis and the occasional twitch on the scrotum. The occasional twinge/twitch can also be due to dermatitis caused by lubricant from penis touching the scrotum and hence the scrotal skin should be closely examined.
You can take omerprazole empty stomach in the morning, antacid gel thrice a day, and avoid fuzzy drinks, tea, coffee, smoking, alcohol and spicy and oily food. This should help you considerably.
Underarm sweating is generally the symptom of sympathetic over activity and can be expected in times of anxiety and stress and presence of inflammatory body condition. Also, check your diabetes and thyroid status as these conditions increase the risk of underarm sweating. Increased protein in diet and staphylococcal bacterial attack on sweat can cause the body odor emanating from the sweat.
I sincerely hope you will find this information useful in your discussion with your doctor.
Hope you get well soon! Good Luck and take care!
