Unexplainable rashes

Hey there,

For about 6 months now, I've been having explained rashes and doctors don't know what's causing it.
It occours on my arms, upper thigh, breasts, full back, chest, neck and face (especially the forehead). There are different kinds of rashes. Some are red. They all itch. Some appear like hives initially and then become red. Some are just patches of red.
In two cases, the red rashes turned into permanent scars under my skin which look like skin discoloration. Apart from that, I have reddish and brownish spots UNDER my skin on my right arm near the elbow which are permanent unlike the rashes which come and go, albeit very frequently.

The red rashes worsen after I have a bath. I changed my moistureizer and soap to Sebamed and use Johnson's baby shampoo. The doctor thought it was caused by chlorine in the water but even after purchasing a shower with a chlorine filter, the problem persists.

Please help !

Thank you in advance.

It sounds like an allergy. Have you taken any new pills recently? I had a similar reaction on my legs. They have pigmented areas that remain that way after I had a very itchy rash only both legs and then my legs swelled up and the skin peeled off. It was an allergy to a topical steroid in my case. The doctor said it was contact dermatitis. I was given a different class of steroid to get rid of it and  I finally did but still have the hyperpigmentation. I hope that it goes away. So, I would suggest seeing a dermatologist if you haven't yet. Also, try to figure out what is new that you have tried, even new clothes  and new food or additive, skin creams etc. You can't use steroid on that much of your body so that isn't going to work. Although they could give you a steroid shot but I don't recommend that due to the side effects of coming off of the steroid.  But if you have to you could try that route. You still will have to find the thing that is causing this.
