Unexplained Hip Pain won't go away?

Hello, I'm 20, female, and have been having hip problems for the last 6 months-ish.

I've always had funny hips, they click, sometimes feel like they move out of the socket, and sometimes there is an odd nerve-type pain where I have to lie flat on the floor and wait for (what feels like) the bone to drop back into place with a god awful pop. I danced from 4 until 17 so assumed it was a result of that.

But recently it's gotten much worse and the aching, burning pain lasts for days, sometimes weeks. I can't sleep, struggle to walk without waddling, and am generally miserable. Both sitting and lying down make it a million times worse.

Blood results came back clear and apparently my X-rays were fine. Now painkillers have just stopped working it seems. I was told I'd get some PT over the summer but that never happened.

I'm now back at my university doctors and plan to try and find an answer again.

Anyone know what could possibly be the issue? Or any suggestions on how I actually get someone to take me seriously?

Thank you in advance,

A very sleep deprived, fed up student.

Hello~I would say you definitely need to see a chiropractor for this issue. Your lower back and hips probably have vertebrae that are misaligned and they need to be adjusted probably. After a few treatments, these issues should be a lot better.

So sorry about your hip pain and all the terrible consequences, which are obviously affecting your life
very negatively.

I must say that I was not very inspired by the evaluation
of your hip pathology, according to what you mentioned.

In the absence of any other important details, you really need a more thorough evaluation.

One condition to look into is  Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome (GTPS), which is not easily diagnosed, since
the symptom presentation is similar with other musculo-skeletal degenerative conditions.

Please search under the following article title to see if
it resonates with you :
