odd ticking sound comming from head

When I run I get this odd clicking/ticking sound that appears to come from the top of my head :/

Its very odd and I have no Idea what it is, I take no medication and the likes.

Also I get Halo affects when looking at lights, and things like computer screens if I don't force my eyes wide open I kinda get like light streaking from the screen like unfocused but I can still see the screen normaly it just has lines of light that appear to go from the screen to my eye,

I'm thinking I should see one of those eye sight people

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
There are many medical causes for tinnitus. Exposure to loud noise or vibrations may also cause tinnitus. Stress is another factor.
Other possible causes of tinnitus have their origin in either your ear, or auditory nerve (which carries signals from your inner ear to your brain), infections, side-effects of medicines (aspirin, quinine, some antibiotics etc) you may have taken or because of problems with your jaw or teeth. These include: Ménière's disease, otosclerosis, middle ear infections,   acoustic neuroma, wax in your ear canal and TMJ. Please consult an ENT specialist. Without a complete investigation to rule out these causes, it is difficult to pinpoint the reason for the sounds.
Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

I am 18 years old and for about the last year or a bit less I have heard a ticking noise in the back of my head upper neck area. The closest sound I can compare it to is if you really lightly clinked two teeth together. I only hear it when I'm moving, mostly when I'm walking but on the rare occasion I will hear it just turning my head. While I'm walking it will start and stop continuously, the first time I heard it I thought it was some sort of death tic and when it stopped I would die, obviously didn't happen that way though.

I am a 32 year old mom.  I have been running for years and just in the last couple months I have been hear a tick/click/beat in my left ear.  Actually, it is above my ear, perhaps in the head just on the left side.  I only hear it when I jog/run.... what could this sound be?  I'm not sick or taking any meds.... I'm very worried abou it.  What is the first step to finding out what this is???

Im in high school and i've been getting the ticking sound in my head when I run since I was like 9, but just recently i've been getting a whooshing sound like hellicopters in my ears and it feels like i'm shaking and i cant talk when they're happening, I went to the hospital and got an MRI and everything and the conclusion they gave me was that it was a migraine. I'm starting to believe its something to do with the blood flow in my ears or head.

Halo lights are sometimes neural (brain/spinal/nervous system) problems you should probably see a neurologist (a brain/nervous system doctor) more than likely. An eye doctor (Optometrist) will only be able to diagnose your eyesight as in you need glasses, or you don't. An Opthamologist is an eye surgeon and could tell you if its something wrong with the eyes themselves but not usually if its something in the brain or the nervous system causing it. If he can't diagnose you he can lead you in the right direction
Diabetics can have serious eye trouble that can lead to permanent blindness. If the Opthamologist  thinks you may have problems from diabetes he would send you to a Endocrinologist (glandular/endocrine specialist) for diabetes testing.

This sounds serious, I would head right out to a doctor for that, not to mention the ticking noise! That certainly sounds like a neurologic problem.

I have wooshing type noises at night when I lie down but it sounds like my pulse  and it also happens when I exercise. I only hear it in my ears. My blood pressure is normal   all the time. Weird huh? Good luck to you!

I get this ticking sound in the back of my head as well. Usually when im laying in bed. It sounds like a ticking noise....maybe like blood flowing through a vein or something. I've had it since i was a little kid (im 20 now). In high school, i finally had my mom send me to a doctor. They had me lay down in a quiet room  with a bunch of wires and sensors attached to my head and told me to tell them when i heard the noise. About a half hour went by and i didnt hear them. I felt pretty dumb to waste their time, but i honestly hear them just about every night. It kind of scares me. I dont want it to lead to something serious in the future.

I recently have heard and felt a ticking sound in my head.  I happens when I walk fast.  I am forty-three and have never had this before.  I am in great shape and do not take regular medications.  It happens every day for a week now.  I'm a little scared.

I also get a ticking noise in my head on occasions when I am running or walking fast or jumping up and down when it happens. Usually it sounds/feels like it is coming from the back of my head. It is rarer now than when I was little. I remember it would happen after a lot of hyper activity and Mom and Dad never took it seriously when I told them that I could hear something ticking when I jumped up and down.

I get that clicking sound too, well I did as a teenager.  I have no idea what it is but assume it is due to fluid in some sinus passage or something. It's 20 years later and it didn't come to anything.

Not sure about the lights.
good luck.
