Unexplained weight gain and myriad of unexplained symptoms

I'm at my wits end here. I don't know if anyone can help me. I'm 33, 1.55m tall and have weighed around 44kg since my teenage years. The only time I gained weight was when I was pregnant with my daughter six years ago, after which my weight stabilised to around 44kg. I started taking Yasmin as contraceptive after her birth.

Two years ago, I started having fevers daily, always when I wake up in the morning and in the evening around 7pm. When I have fever, my temperature (I am keeping a log) ranges from 38.8°C to 39.4°C. I also have itchy bumps on my legs which would fester and not heal. I currently have two on my legs which have been there for almost a year. My weight has skyrocketed to 50kg in the last three months.

I have always been a competitive long distance runner and I am still running 10km on alternate days, three times a week, with an additional 20km run every fortnight and a full marathon every other month. In addition, I do weight training and I am on low-carb diet. I am terribly fatigued by the fevers and it is affecting my timing.

I have been to the hospital for blood tests and x-rays, including tests for my thyroid, liver, kidneys, blood count etc. The doctor found nothing. On paper, my body is totally healthy.

I look like I am three months pregnant. I have had an ultrasound done and I am not pregnant, and neither do I have any cysts or fibroids.

There are days when I can hardly get out of bed from the fatigue. I am getting depressed and building up walls to stay away from people, even my loved ones. I don't want my daughter to grow up remembering me as a gloomy mum. The hospital wants me to go for a cat-scan but I'm reaching a point where I just want to give up and tell them they will find nothing, after two years of tests and scans. I have lost all faith and find no joys in life, not even in running anymore.

Please help me. I don't know what is wrong with my body. And I don't know how to heal it.

You sound like you are on the wrong type of pill, I would switch to a different type.. One maybe that is less heavy on the progesterone. If you don't need help with your hormone Yasmin might not be so good, the pill reacts so different with everyone so try a few types out.
