Unknown Pain for 2 years-2nd posting(nobody responded to 1st)

I am 35 years old.  Have had pain under right ribcage, through my back and up to through my shoulder for 2 years. But the pain was very mild when it started, now is severe.  Can't even lay on my right side any more.  Have had numerous tests done  (catscan, 2 ultrasounds, gallbladder test and bonescan) Hurts to take deep breath.  Also feel tired all the time.  I've seen a pain specialist who gave me pain blocking shots in the side.  They didn't work.  I've been assured it is not my gallbladder. See Dr. tomorrow (for more pain meds.)  They don't offer me much relief either.  Can't sleep at night because of pain.  Someone please offer me some ideas.  Thanks.

I have that same pain for 5 years, and have had no satisfaction. They keep checking the liver and gall bladder to no avail. Now that area hurts _all the time_ now, and seems to be tied to a pain in my hip (that was also only occasional at one time), and also a pain higher in my chest. It feels like someone is trying to dig their way out with a dull knife.

I have since found out that there are stones that won't show up on any scan, that you can get stones in your liver and in the tubes and ducts going in and out of that giant organ, that a gall bladder can not work at all and cause pain, that teensy stones or crystals can form in the pancreatic duct to the liver and be totally missed. And then there's things like sarcoidosis, mild aneurysms in the abdomen along that main vein that  runs down into the legs, pinched nerves, and pleurisy. I'm probably not spelling that right at all. Then there's little bone deteriorations of the spine that can pinch nerves and tissue, diseases and inflammations of the intestines, and some kind of distention of the liver sac/casing etc. There's even some rheumatoid condition that affects some stationary joint in the back to the hip they looked into at one point that can be really bad.

The docs keeping going round and round. They all agree something is wrong, but no one can tell what.

Moderate exercise and stretching seems to help somewhat, but temporarily.
Chiropractic was great while I had an insurance that paid for it.

I knew someone who had great relief going to one of those bone doctors who pull and stretch you, (an orthopedist? that may not be correct.) the first thing they did was get rid of all their shoes and put them on a regimine of the pulling and stretching and measuring, and diet and supplements. And I knew someone who tried one of those inversion tables and had good success.

I still think it's my gall bladder, or pancreatic duct, or liver.

I have been to a chiropractor several times.  I have had great success for my back pain, but it has not helped with my abdominal pain.  Thanks anyway.
P.S. I saw the Dr. yesterday and she said she is convinced that it is a nerve that is causing all of my problems, and she thinks that the reason it is worse is because I had accupuncture done and she probably hit on the nerve that's csusing the problem.  She has told me not to go back.  She also said there is a new drug out that is supposed to help with nerve pain, but she had to check into it and make sure it does not cause too much drowsiness.  I have been taking percocet for two years(about 10 a day) and she wants me to get off of them before I get addicted.

Try a chiropractor. I've had similar pain but on left side. Turns out I have disc degeneration and a protusion in my thoracic spine (discovered this after MRI of spine). My doctor recommended a chiro. Can't hurt.

Thank you for responding,  I have had the gallbladder function test done with the IV.  It came back fine.  I have never injured myself or had a car accident, although I have had a bad lower back since the birth of my child 6 years ago. (but much lower near my hip) I have also seen a specialist who said there was really nothing he could do since my ct scan came back fine, but that was 2 years ago, should I ask for another one?

have you seen an ortopedic doctor there are many diseases inflamation of the rib cage. Chronic inflamation arthritis.  Have you ever injured this part of your body fall or car accident.  Have you had back trouble.  A pinched nerve in the thoracic area.  There is a reason they just have not found it.  If you are treating the symptoms and they keep coming back maybe time to see a specialist.  best wishes.
