Upper arm pain between elbow and shoulder

Have any of you had a tetanus shot?  I was pain free until I had a tetanus shot in the upper arm.  A week later I'm having severe pain 24/7.  Has been going on now for 3 weeks.

I'm glad you got help with turmeric, etc.  Good stuff.  Because you had a needle in you, there is a potential for infection, which could become sepsis.  If you get a fever, it is an emergency and you would need antibiotics.  However, starting the turmeric and garlic early might be enough to head it off - not sure but they are good stuff.

Went to my natural doc yesterday.  He feels as does my nurse friend that when I got my tetanus shot my body deemed it as a invader and encapsulated it from entering into my body.  The pain is coming from the encapsulation pressing against a nerve.  He recommended heat therapy, massage therapy and natural pain killers and anti-inflammatory herbs and oils such as turmeric, garlic, etc.  I'd already been to my massage therapist and he felt the lump in my arm but didn't figure it out.  His massage did help but the pain was still present 24/7, especially at night when I'd lie on it accidentally during sleep and at that point the pain would awaken me.
I put 2 Therma heat wraps on my arm yesterday to cover the entire painful area.  After the 8 hour heat session, I had about a 30% increase in range of motion.  YAY!  I wasn't awakened from my sleep last night - slept through the entire night.  First time in 3 weeks.  This morning the pain is back but much less.  I'm putting Therma heat wraps on it again this morning.
Since my insurance doesn't cover massage therapist, today I'm making an appointment with a physical therapy group who will help and is covered at 100% for 30 days.
Hope this helps someone!

I would contact your Doctor, tetanus shots are notoriously painful after the fact but it concerning that you are still having a problem 3 weeks later.
