VAGINAL PAIN AFTER URINATING SLIGHT BLEEDING.. HELP!

I recently had sex for the second time and it hurt alot.
The next day i noticed that everytime i would urinate I would get a pain in my abdomin or vaginal area right after urinating. I really didn't notice the slight bleeding until four days later, but i'm pretty sure i bled the next day while i urinated. My question is; What's going on with my abdomin/vaginal area? Is it serious? and what should i do?!
-thank you

i've had the exact same thing! i had sex with this guy on thursday and then on the friday night too, and afterwards i felt fine but sunday morning i had pains and a really strong urge to urinate. but whenever i did urinate, hardly anything came out and it was painful, then there was a little blood on the tissue...it was light though, like a pinkish colour. it was protected sex (with a condom) so im hoping that its not an STD. im so worried though because i don't know what is wrong! help!?

I am 25 years old, 30 weeks pregnant, and am feeling a constant pressure in my lower abdomen when I stand, and also after I urinate. The pressure feels as though it could be a UTI, although I do not have any blood, or burning sensation. I do feel the urge to urinate more frequently. It has become quite uncomfortable. I spoke with My Doctor's answering service 2 days ago, and told them what I thought i had. They didn't ask to see me, they just filled a Rx for me at the pharmacy.I have been taking the antibiotics for three days and nothing is subsiding. I have been sexually active with my husband lately. Could this really be just a UTI?  I go to the Dr. in the morning, and I have read that it is fairly common for a woman to develop a UTI while pregnant.
Thank you

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
The bleeding could be due to infection, cervicitis, polyps, UTI, or stone in the kidney. Since you have a past history of infections, this should be investigated thoroughly. Lingering urinary infections can start affecting the kidney. Hence please do not ignore them.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!

Dear Doctor,
I have been feeling this really wierd sensation lately, I have been having the feeling of needing to urinate constanly but I do not feel any pain when I do urinate (luckily). I have had many yeast and blatter infections in the past and have usually dealt with them by drinking alot of water, cranberry juice, and when it becomes extreme going to the doctor. But this time is different. I have also been slightly bleeding vaginaly even though my period ended about a week ago. I have only had one sex partner and we have been together for 5 years and we are both each others first so I am wondering what is wrong with me.

If you are extremely active you will have much shorter periods. Alot of women body builders only have a period for 1 day a month!

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
It is normal to have periods for 2 days. However if the flow is continuously decreasing, then you should get a hormonal assessment done. It is also possible that you are anemic. UTI is common after sex. Condoms sometimes rupture or have holes in them during sex. Thus the chance of a STD cannot be ruled out totally. A urine examination and a STD panel is a must. Please consult a gynecologist and an urologist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Your symptoms could be due to UTI, or urinary tract infection. The infection could be at any level from bladder to ureter to kidney. It could also be due to a stone in the urinary tract. What you need is a urine culture and sensitivity test done. You can also give it for culture and sensitivity in a sterile bottle provided by the lab. This will tell you what organism is causing the infection and what antibiotic will kill it permanently.

It could also be a fungal infection, bacterial infection, trichomonas infection or herpes simplex infection. It could be any other STD too. You need to get a complete STD panel done.
Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

okay....I had sex with my boyfriend last night and I had sex with him the night before! After last nights sex, I felt sore down in my vagina area. (The last time we had sex was rougher than usual) This morning when I woke up and used the bathroom at the end of urinating i would feel a bad pain. Then, when I wiped, there was blood on the tissue. The only way I can describe the pain im feeling when I urinate is that it feels like something is ripping me apart down there! The other symptom is the constant urge I feel to go to the bathroom. Even after i've just gone, and when I go back nothing even comes out. What's wrong with me?

Hi

I understand your concern.

There are many causes of bleeding from vagina after sex. Since it is not your first time ruptured hymen is ruled out. It could also be due to infections like gonorrhea, Chlamydia, yeast, trichomonas etc including herpes simplex infection of vagina, cervical polyps, vaginitis (infection of vagina). It could also be urinary tract infection with blood coming with urine and not from vagina. Lower abdominal pain can occur both in vaginal and urinary infections.

I think it will be advisable to consult a gynecologist and maybe take a test to rule out STD especially if it was unprotected sex or may be there was a condom rupture.

However it is difficult to diagnose without examining. So please consult your doctor. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else.

Yazmin, it could be as simple as a urinary tract infection if you have pain while urinating, but the fact that you bled a little even 3 weeks after your first time it could be a an std. Did you use protection? If so then it would not be an std but you should go to your local health center anyway..

it was about 3 weeks and a day apart.
i started my period two days after i noticed
and now that i'm menstrating it still hurts when i'm about to finish urinating
i've asked some friends and one of them said that my urethra probably got damaged
is this possible? both said that this doesn't sound normal
is it?
-thank you

How close together was your first time and your second time having sex??
If those encounters were within a few days or a week, that sounds like your hymen has unsealed.  Once that occurs after breaking your virginity, you bleed through the vagina like a period.  Some people just spot bleed off and on for a while.  This is perfectly normal.  The only way to rule out if you are actually bleeding while you pee is to take a sample to your doctor.  But make sure that when you give a sample, that you are not on your period because it may show blood in your urine when it is actually through your vagina.
