Voice cracking?

I am a 22 year old female, and an assistant teacher at a daycare. I do spend most of my days speaking louder than normal (since 3year olds love screaming). I’ve only worked in this field for a year but just the last few months I noticed my voice cracks a lot...as if I’m a 13 year old boy going through puberty. I wasn’t sick when this all started..and it’s getting worse with whatever I’m coming down with. There are days I actually start losing my voice! What is happening?

Hello~It could be several reasons here are a couple. Could be your hydration level if you don't have enough hydration your voice will crack much more easily than it does when it has lots of hydration.

You may have damaged it and are not letting it heal properly which would be hard to do given the nature of your job.

If it doesn’t get better, you should see an ear, nose and throat specialist.
