Voice problems, difficulty swallowing and fatigue

Hi there.  I need some help here.  I have been having problems with my voice for a while now, and it has gotten worse to the point that I have almost completely lost my voice.  If I do try to talk, it is extremely painful, I get a strange choking sensation in my throat, my voice seems to not be working right, and the quality of my voice varies greatly, from somewhat normal to barely audible.  I also have difficulty swallowing that is, at times, bad enough that I can barely eat or drink anything.  I also have severe fatigue.  Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong with me?

A doctor would be an obviously better person to consult.  It could be lots of things, including covid, strep, and it could also be psychological.  Who knows?  An exam would have a doc actually look.

I did see a doctor in the beginning, and they didn't find anything.  This is drastically worse now, though.  I haven't been able to see a doctor yet since then.

I actually submitted a problem today somewhat similar to yours. I’m a 50-year-old female. Healthy. Had a similar voice problem with the throat issue for going on nine months now. Been to several different specialists. The fatigue is not an issue really for me personally unless you consider just being exhausted from the throat and voice thing. Looking into it being something called muscle tension dysphonia. The muscles in your back and your neck and even toward the front of your throat can become tense and affect your voice. You may not even feel the tension initially but as time goes on and you strain to talkMore, then the tension in your muscles gets worse and it’s a vicious cycle. I don’t know it’s just a thought good luck

Also, just to add, just the other day I said it felt like someone was pressing or strangling me on the right side. Your sternocleidomastoid muscle gets very tense and can even push on your lymph nodes but either way it’s very uncomfortable to talk, swallow etc.
