Weird pain in right side of head

Hello -

Recently I have noticed a weird, stabbing pain on the right side of my head, above my eye that feels rather internal. The pain is sometimes on the left side too, but the pain I feel on the right is very strange. It feels like an ice-pick, but a blunt one. I have suffered with headaches in the past, particularly migraines after straining my eyes for too long but it was never a pain that I feel right now. It is blunt, intense and lasted 4 seconds and happens in the same spot all the time without any warning.

I do work in front of a computer screen for a substantial amount of time however I have never experienced anything like it in the past. It started about three weeks ago. I went in for an eye test the other day and there were no clinical changes and my eyes were healthy after she checked the inside of my eyes. I eat well and keep myself hydrated so I am unsure what can cause this. I sometimes sit funny on a sofa that is not the most comfortable in all honesty and comes from the 1920s so I try to blame the random attacks on sitting weird but the pain is still unusual to me.

I do not have any other symptoms, I am not sensitive to light or anything but being a hypochondriac and suffering from anxiety, anything can mimic symptoms which will make me even more anxious.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Can't really say for sure, but poor posture using cell phones and computers had produced an epidemic of neck and head problems.  Could very well be this modern curse.  Might be the sofa too, but when you mention a lot of computer usage, you're right in the middle of an epidemic of problems.  But again, no way to be sure.
