Weird tingling/itching in my right breast.

For the last 3 months I've had this weird tingling sensation in my right nipple..almost like a deep itch that can't be scratched. This is often accompanied by the nipple getting stiff (all by it self).  It comes and goes and at its worst i can also feel it under my tongue, in my armpit, down my right arm and down to my groin. Its kind of the same feeling as if the nipple were stimulated. Its not painful, but extremely uncomfortable.. I am not worried that it might be something serious, I just REALLY want it to go away cause it disrupts my everyday life. I have had white/clear discharge from both my breasts for a long time (this something I almost always get as a side effect from birth control pills), but the tingling/itching is only in one breast.

I have also the last few weeks had something that I can only describe as too much blood flow in my vagina... Its like I'm almost constantly aroused down there, but my mind is absolutely not in on it.. its purely physical. In fact sitting on the bus makes it extremely irritated and it brings me to tears. This also comes and goes.

I am also very emotional and can cry for no reason. I also get angry a lot more than usual. If this is a symptom in it self or a reaction to these other symptom - I don't know.

I have had an MRI scan of my brain to rule out things like MS and tumors etc.. and my GP has never heard of anything like this and is quite baffled.

I have a history of not reacting very well to hormonal birth control (mood swings, not feeling like my self etc.), and have over the course of 6 years tried many different types. I'm currently on Cerazette. I have endometriosis and therefore am a bit worried about going off the pill.

Sorry about the long question, but I really need to know what this is, if it's hormonal, neurological or what ever.. just so I can make it go away.

I'm 24 years old, female, have never been pregnant and I'm in a stable relationship (I don't have any STD's).

Not that I know of.. Don't know what that would be called in Norway if there are any. I'll try to do some research :)

Please read my reply again.

Do a search for xenoestrogens and avoid exposure and use of foods and products containing them.
The Cerazette contains synthetic chemical hormones, mainly progesterone,
and it may take some time for any effects to leave your body.
You may experience some undesirable effects also , hopefully minor, due to the sudden discontinuation.
The suggestion to consider natural bioidentical progesterone cream was to counterbalance estrogen dominance and keep endometriosis in check.

Primrose Oil, I'm afraid I don't know much other than the fact it might help with PMS symptoms and arthritic conditions.

I still think you should consider seeing a holistic endocrinologist.
Are there any in Norway?

Thankyou for the answer :) I had hoped all of my symptoms were due to a hormonal issue and I stopped taking Cerazette 18 days ago. So far, no real change, but I've heard it can take some time for my body to regain balance after stopping birth control after so many years. Do you know anything about this? I can't really find anything on the internet that can really explain in detail what actually happens in the body when you take pills like Cerazette and why it takes so long for periods to return and side effects to diminish.

I've never tried progesterone cream, but have read about it online. Don't know if its available in my country, and don't know if I should take hormones in any form now while getting off Cerazette. But I have bought evening primerose oil and started taking it, cause I saw a tip about it. Do you know anything about primerose oil and hormonal balance?

I eat healthily and I'm at a healthy weight :)

Yes, hi Elyxia.

I can sense your discomfort and stress, which is totally justified,
but I know a lot can be done to improve your condition.

You may have to see a holistic endocrinologist or knowledgeable functional medicine doctor to get to the bottom of this.
You obviously have hormonal imbalances and also suspect is an OAT Axis
imbalance (OAT --> Ovarian Adrenal Thyroid), which is not within the scope of conventional endocrinology.

The Cerazette, may not be properly addressing your endometriosis.
Have you ever tried bioidentical natural progesterone cream?
Not that this alone would rebalance totally your hormones, but it would be a great start.

To achieve true hormonal balance, it would involve an approach which encompasses nutrition, stress reduction, minimizing xenoestrogens and incorporating nutritional supplements and herbal medicine.

Please let me know if you need further details, however my suggestions and comments are not intended as a replacement for medical advice.

Best wishes.
