What could cause flank pain with nausea, feeling unwell

Went to my Dr for symptoms that started over the weekend, first bladder pressure, then flank pain that made me very uncomfortable. She said urine dipstick only showed blood, didn't feel I was in enough pain to be kidney stone probably, and noted my muscle in the flank area was tight. Given a few pain killer, muscle relaxer, and bactrim. Have taken 5 doses of bactrim so far and feel no better. Pain is a little lower now. Culture should be back soon. Temp is up a little at 99°. I really don't think a muscle could do that, I was in way worse pain after surgery and it never made me nauseous, feel like 3-4/10 pain is light for a kidney stone, and I have had UTI before but symptoms were different and this antibiotic hasn't seemed to help.

Hello~Try taking an herbal supplement of Cranberries, this is great for healing kidney and bladder disorders. Also, try to drink more water, if you are even slightly dehydrated, you can have symptoms similar to what you are having.
