What gives? Please help

Okay I used to drink and smoke pot a lot, and I think it really messed me up.
I had to get up and pee 4 or 5 times last night like every 2 hours..
I'm really worried, each few hours I get like an uncomfortable lower back pain and then i realize
it's because I have to pee.

It used to be a tingling kinda feeling , but now its a back pain  (mild though at least).
I used to drink a lot of coffee, and hot chocolate plus tea all day long and beer! overdid it I think
now i just drink a lot of tea...lots of sugar -

recently I've been getting pretty tired , more than I used to.
I used to stay up all night long now I'm in bed like an old man after 12 hours of being awake (i'm only 22)
not to mention I've been eating like a monster I have like a full meal and then 30 minutes later something else etc etc...

So not knowing my problem I figure some internal organ is damaged or sore and I want to know if there is a way I can speed up regeneration of it...maybe if I eat certain foods, vitamins If i stay away from sugar ? I'll try drinking more water and stuff...please advise

Thanks

Hello,

Without examination, confirming a diagnosis is tough but these symptoms can be due to diabetes mellitus, diabetes insipidus, glomerulonephritis, tubular necrosis, pyelonephritis(inflammation of the kidneys),urinary tract infection, hypercalcemia, hypokalemia(low potassium),hyperthyroidism, hyperparathyroidism, diuretic drugs and psychogenic polydypsia.

Investigations like urine examination, culture sensitivity, ultrasound abdomen, blood tests like kidney function tests, thyroid profile and electrolyte levels are needed to confirm a diagnosis. In my opinion you should consult a physician and get yourself evaluated for these possibilities.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.

Frequent nighttime urination can be a sign of diabetes. Adding back pain to your description could mean kidney problems. You don't need me to tell you to cut down the tea and drink water for a while to see if it helps your symptoms.

Another "watch" could be for sleep apnea. It causes a hormone to be released that contributes to repeated nighttime urination. It also causes daytime fatigue and sleepiness. Also, sleep disorders disrupt the appetite hormones that signal hungry and full. It can cause one to feel never satisfied and result in overeating and weight gain. Also, one whose sleep is not restorative often craves food in a desperate attempt to boost energy.

If it were me, I'd want my kidneys checked out and my sleep so any efforts to help could be targeted thus more effective. Both of these are potentially serious enough to merit medical attention.
