What has happened to me?

Hello. I hope someone can help me. I am desperate for answers and need to get back to my old self. August 2012 I was given a cortisone shot in my arm for arm pain. within two days my health fell. I began experiencing pain in both arms and neck. Facial twitching and legs pins and needles. All blood work and mris and cts have come back fine except thyroid antibodies are 65. My mouth burns and taste like menthol, hard to discribe. I am a woman who was never sick. I cannot understand what has happened. My left side of my face feels heavy, there is no droopy. This is 24/7. I have a pressure feeling under my left clavicle. I am miserable to say the least. One doctor ordered a spinal tap because of the facial and mouth sensations. The mri had showed some white matter and he thought he would rule out the bad stuff, so he said. Nothing showed in the fluid. I then got the dreaded headache for two weeks which effected my upper neck and top of head. Had to have a blood patch. crazy... I have a horse who needs to be ridden and a family who needs the old me back. Could a shot of depo medrol 80 mg throw my body into a frenzy. I was also given medrol pill form which I could only take 3 days of that because of side effects.
I right hand also shakes sometimes, I just feel like doggy doo doo. HELP

Yes, the brain. The dr. Said i did not have MS. He really did not give me an answer. I have seen another nuero and he said it was not
ms.  Needless to say i am at my wits end. I even went to have my teeth checked. I do have wisdom
teeth.  After the depo shot for pain in my arm i had nigjt sweats off and on for several months. Strang
e. When i lay down the heavy feeling is sometimes in both cheeks. I turn on my side to keep from feeling it. This is the weirdiest crap. When it all started i had facial twitches, anxiety thru the roof,both hips,both shoulders..uggg..you name it. The arm pain,drs say was stemming from a bulged disc,my neck however never hurt until the shot. Odd.. the only thing i had done at the time was I seen a chiro,then had a depo shot..one nuero gave me a traction machine,but that did not help.

Googling "menthol taste in mouth" I found several forums that said it's caused by cranial or facial nerve damage.  It does seem that you have facial nerve damage,  but don't know why.

I think it's possible many of  these things aren't related.  That maybe none of it is related to the cortisone shot.

Why did you have arm pain to begin with?

When you say "white matter" in your MRI,  do you mean that was in your brain?  That's a hallmark symptom for Multiple Schlerosis - and many of your symptoms match MS.

I did forget to mention I have several disc bulges in my neck. And some artheristis. Could this possible cause the heavy feeling from jaw to clavicle? The lip numbness and tongue tingling? 1.6 years is a long time to deal with such problems.
