What is going on in my mouth?

A few months ago my salivary glands became swollen to point I couldn't swallow. After medicine they went down, but never completely went back to normal. About two months ago my tongue began to get white-ish in the center, coupled with occasional morning sore throats. Now, on top that, pink patches are forming on my tongue (almost replacing the white-ish) and I have a foul taste in the back of my mouth. I'm not completely sure what is going on, nor why. I'm not sure if this is all related to the salivary glands still being a bit swollen, some kind of transmitted virus, stress, or what.
