What is wrong with me?

I am a 31 year old female.  Since I was 17 years old I have been suffering from "flare ups" of extreme joint pain.  Sometimes in my knees, ankles and toes, and since I turned 30, it's in my hips.  The pain severe and is followed by extreme fatigue.
When I was 17 I saw a doctor. The doctor ran several blood tests.  He said the only one that came back inconclusive was the test for Guillan-Barre Syndrome.  I was never retested.  I was given Naproxen and that was it.
When I was 25, another doctor told me that it was IT Band Syndrome.   I was told to wear custom fit orthodics, so I did.  It didn't help.

When I was 27, another doctor told me that because I had nerve pain running from my lower back down the right side of my body and extreme lower back pain, stiffness, and I lost the ability to walk, I herniated a disc in my lower back and pinched my sciatic nerve. I was given steroids, pain killers, and anti inflammatories.  That was it.

Finally, in May, when I had another "flare up", I went to the doctor.  In addition to the severe joint pain and fatigue, my gums swelled up and started to bleed, my lymph nodes swelled up, and my hair started to fall out.  He tested me for EVERYTHING.  My ANA was negative.  I was tested for lupus, RA, lyme disease, hepatitus C and B, all my organ function tests came back normal, HIV, all tests came back normal.  The doctor also ruled out Fibromyalgia.  I saw a Rheumatologist.  She took x-rays of my knees, ankles, and feet.  They looked normal.  I only had a few bone spurs in my toes and left knee.

The doctor literally told me, "It's probably caused by depression.  It's most likely all in your head"..

I want to see another doctor but honestly, I don't know know what to do.  I am afraid that yet again, I will go undiagnosed, or misdiagnosed, and I hate to say this, but I have lost my trust in doctors and I am afraid to go to them.

Some much appreciated advise would be greatly welcomed.

Go to Dr Oz's website....Dr, Oz.com and look up Dr Fuhrman. Or you can go to Amazon and order a book by Dr Fuhrman entitled "Eat to Live". Sounds like if you follow Dr Furhman's advice you'll be feeling like a brand new person in no time. Also on Dr Oz's website look for the link FUHRMANITES....these are women who have made remarkable progress in feeling well again. You can read their testimonies & see for yourself....hope this will help you find relief!
