Why do I feel consistently lightheaded?

I am an early 20’s male. I have a feeling of being light headed that hasn’t gone away for about two weeks. Some nights when I try to sleep, right before I fall asleep it feels like I’m slipping out of consciousness instead of drifting to sleep. I have these weird sensations of my brain feeling like it’s sinking or times where it feels like someone is exerting light pressure on certain parts of my head. I’ve also noticed a very slight loss of balance. I have what I can only describe as a dull pain sensation that lingers for a few minutes and goes away from time to time. My cognitive awareness feels dull as most days feel like one and my concept of time is fading. While that may sound like I’m slipping in to depression or I need a life style change, I am an active young adult with a well balanced life and career and I do not believe any of these symptoms are related to poor mental health. I have moments where I feel like my heart is jumping out of my chest and I’m on the verge of passing out for no reason.    On the other end I can perform intense physical activity and feel fine. I had what I believe to have been a TIA that my doctor did not seem to want to diagnose. I had an MRI about 2 years ago and it came back fine, my recent blood work showed I was healthy. I’ll admit I’m scared and I don’t know where to turn to, this feels like a shot in the dark and I’m just hoping someone could help me vs having a doctor look at me after I tell them my symptoms and say, “huh, that’s weird” and then do nothing to try and help.

Hello~I am so sorry you are going through this. I would suggest maybe seeing an ear specialist or a neurologist, these tend to know more than the regular GP and may be able to help with some ideas or med.
