Why is my skin from my knee to ankle on both legs sensitive to the touch?

I am 26 yrs old, healthy, 5'10" female. I used to be a massage therapist for about 5 years, but my current job consists of mostly standing (in flats or heels) for about 40 hours a week. About 3 years ago I noticed that the skin around my ankle area to about mid-calf in BOTH legs were really sensitive to the touch (not fabrics, but touch.)  It has since progressed to mid-quad, and over the past year, I pain has worsened, especially when there is even the slightest pressure applied to my ankle, calf, or knee area (soft parts of those areas-not the bone). I do not feel the pain when I am active, standing, or sitting- ONLY when pressure (light or firm) is applied- like during a massage or when my dog rubs pass my leg. I want to mention, I do not have tenderness in my feet or anywhere else like I am experiencing in my lower legs. I do, however, have numbness in my left big toe (quite possibly from wearing heels too often).

I had explained this to a doctor a few years ago with no diagnosis. Now that my symptoms have worsen and progressed up my legs, I have scheduled an appointment with a different doctor, but any advice would help- even if it might be advice for which specialist I should look in to speaking with... Thanks in advance!

Hello~You could possibly have some pinched nerves in your lower back, seeing a chiropractor might be of some benefit. You might need a "heel lift" also, again, the chiro would be able to ascertain if this would be beneficial.
