abdominal discomfort

for 3 weeks, i have had pain above my navel which radiates left and right, terrible nausea with retching and sometimes vomiting, and very loose and watery stools.  i have had a headache just to the left of my forehead, and during the nausea/retching/diarrhea episodes, my skin becomes very clammy and i feel hot and like i'm going to pass out.  the pain reaches a climax and slowly subsides.  then i feel very tired.  today i feel a lot better.  what could be causing this?  i have seen my doctor, who didnt know what the problem was, so I was given lansoprazole and domperidone for the nausea and i had a blood and stool test done.  I should get the results in a week but i would like to know of any possible causes.

i had similar symptoms i went to the doctor and she said it was nothing. The pain got worse so i ended up going to the ER. they did a bunch of test thought it maybe gastritis turned out after all my tests came back i had to have my appendix removed. it didnt help that during all this i was on blood thinners due to clots a few months prior. See your doctor again if it persists.

It sounds to me like gastritis.  I have similar symptoms and was diagnosed with that after a colonoscopy/endoscopy.  It's basically an inflamation of the lining of the stomach.  Check it out on line to see if it matches your symptoms.

If your physician doesn't know what it is and it is persisting, I would be requesting abdominal imaging and a consult for a GI Specialist at that point.

I would not begin to GUESS what this might be.
