I've had an MRI (but not the lumbar area), EMG, spinal tap -- all came back normal, but I continue to have these abdominal twitching/spasms which increase when I lie down or sit. The neurologist put me on valium 2mg twice a day but now is weening me off and the spasms are only increasing. I am a 35/m who had no health problems previous to this. I had a bout of poison ivy last august which has since healed. Could this be lyme disease, if not what are the treatments for this? I've used flexiril, norflex and baclofen and all of them have increased my twitching and blood pressure. HELP! thanks.
