How long does ambien withdrawal last? I have been off of it for 3 -1/2 months and struggle terribly w/ insomnia. I was on it for 4-1/2 months and it made me very sick with gastrointestinal problems, acid reflux, burning swellingin mouth, white tongue, etc. Doc did not diagnose, and said my symptoms were all caused by anxiety.
Your ambien should be out of your system by now. My mom was on ambien before and when she stopped it, she was fine after two weeks of stopping it. But you should be fine now.
The ambien should be entirely out of your system. I was on it and it took about two weeks to clear it. My body didn't like it. As CRSeaside suggested, try melatonin.
