any ideas would be great

my husband has had chronic diarrea for a while, he has had tests done all they came up with is that he has gastritis and duodenitis. He has stomach pain every day diarrhea at least 5 times a day and vomits a least once a day sometimes its undigested food, could this be due to the gastritis and the duodenitis??

He has a lot of other things going on with his health I think they might be connected but the doctors don't realy listen.
he has : uveitis iritis inflammatory eye problem
               psoriasis inflammatory skin condition
duodenitis gastritis inflamation in the stomach lining etc
back problems with characteristics of anklosing spondilotis but x ray didn't confirm it
All his conditions are inflammatory could they be connected as an overall inflammatory disease????
any ideas realy need help he is always in pain  and just need some help, come to a dead end

He's due to see his  gastroenterologist in April thats why I wanted to get as much information as I can. He did have a flexible sigmoidoscopy and an endoscopy back in Dec they told him on the day he had gastritis and duodenitis, he had a biopsy taken from the endoscopy but it came back ok, but could crohn's be detected from an endoscopy biopsy?
Thanks for your help. I'll keep you posted

Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
There is a possibility that your husband is suffering from Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s disease is a difficult entity to diagnose. Along with gut symptoms skin disorders and arthritis too are commonly seen with Crohn’s. An upper GI series using barium dye is done to see the condition of small intestines. The degree of involvement of the large and small intestine may vary from person to person.  A biopsy is the most confirmatory.
An elevated ESR does confirm inflammation in the body. Low protein, minerals and iron in blood are the other findings in Crohn’s which may or may not be present. A recent advancement in Crohn’s diagnosis is video capsule endoscopy.
Since your husband has skin lesions, joint pains and other inflammatory conditions. Crohn’s disease should be seriously considered.
I would strongly recommend you with your  gastroenterologist. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage.  Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
