blood in mouth

i am 56 yr old male with dentures. for several months i go through periods where i wake with blood in my mouth. i take my lower plate out at night to as not to "grit my teeth". not sure just where it comes from, i believe the roof of my mouth. should i be concerned?

you should not go to bed with your teeth in anyway.

I recently got partial dentures and was told not to sleep with them. maybe you can try sleeping without them for a few days and see what happens

I think that even if you take your lower plate out at night you still can grind your teeth. Once a tooth grinder always a tooth grinder. Are you sure the blood is coming from the roof of your mouth? Is it an excessive amount? You may need to get a grinding plate to sleep with. I hope this helps. If you are experiencing an excessive amount of blood you should consult your dentist first and then consult your physician.
