i agree she should consult a doc.. negligence worsens small rashes as well..
Only a dermatologist or her family doctor would know that. It doesn't sound normal to me and lots of diseases can present with a rash of some sort so
I would advice your friend to have it looked into. If it is nothing, at least it will put her mind to rest. Good luck, Sharon

It is very difficult to diagnose a skin lesion without examining it. If the lesion does not itch or has pain, it could be a herald patch of pityriasis rosea. Pityriasis rosea is an acute, benign, self-limiting skin rash. Herald patch is a solitary, oval, red colored patch which appears on the chest or abdomen. After 1-2 weeks of this solitary patch, large patches of pink or red, flaky, oval-shaped rash appear on the torso. The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and itching.
Other than that the rash can be due to nummular eczema, tinea infection (fungal), pressure urticaria due to jewellery or buttons, or insect bite. You must consult a skin specialist for confirmed diagnosis. Take care!
