I have just had a colonoscopy does anyone know what it means if you have rectal erythema ?

A rectal erythema usually means the sides of the colon walls are red and inflamed, can be due to polyps, ulcers, etc. I would ask your doctor what was found and the meaning of it.

It means inserting a tube from anus with a minute camera one side and probably a pump on the another, used to observe the insides.
