I was dignosed with panic attacks and anxiety disorder. They started me on effexor xr and i did real well then i lost my insurance and couldnt buy it any longer about 4 months i did good, now its back again so i started the effexor again and i cant take it because  of the side effects it seems to make the dizziness worse. the only relief ive had in 2 years is when i went to mrytle beach in july. i was fine for a couple months now its back like a bad dream . can someone pleeeeeassssee help me im going crazy.....

The symptoms you describe certanly can be from anxiety. They could also be a side effect of the medication. Who diagnosed your anxiety. Have you had any tests done( ct scan, blood test)?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
What you have is probably benign intracranial hypertension. This happens due to impaired CSF absorption. A generalized throbbing headache worst felt in the morning and last thing at night. This headache is generally relieved on standing (consistent with raised intracranial pressure). It is aggravated by straining, coughing or a change in position. You have a similar headache.
The second most common symptom is visual defect, which you too have. Also tinnitus or ringing in the ear is pretty common. Antianxiety medications were earlier helping you; this again goes in favor of this problem.
Hypothyroidism (you already have this), hypoparathyroidism, adrenal insufficiency are a few things I would recommend you get investigated for. These can precipitate BIH. A spinal tap is a must both to diagnose the condition and to treat it.  You need a prompt evaluation by a neurologist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
