thnk you everyone for all of your help,i took her to emergency thurs. morning and the doctors did every test possible it was chest and ear infection and she is doing alot better today, what i learned from thi was testing for influenza with the nasal swab, the doctor said if it was the flu virus being viral there is nothing that you can do,if it is not the flu than it is going to be a bacterial infection that can be treated,so i still wonder why can't or won't test for and rule out the flu at the family doctors office, you take your baby to the doctors office with a fever and they always say viral let it run its course.if you are lucky they will look in the ears,at emergency extensive phisical check all over, chest xray, nasal and throat swab,i know where i am going next time, again thanks everyone

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Fever with rash is especially seen in viral fevers, dengue, typhoid, malaria, and H1N1 infection. It can be due to measles, chicken pox, or due to group A streptococcal infection.
Please take another opinion from a pediatrician who can examine your baby.
Take care!

I'm sorry to hear that your baby is not feeling well.

I agree that it would be a good idea to get a second opinion, however, if it is roseola, there's not much that can be done other than provide comfort care and let it run its course.  Giving meds to reduce fever and discomfort and making sure your baby stays well hydrated will help with fever and make her feel a little more comfortable.  Also using cool (not cold) sponge baths will help with comfort also and may help reduce the fever.

Before giving ANY meds, it's important to check with your pediatrician or pharmacist - depending on her age, you may or may not be able to give her these types of meds.

You are definitely right - a parent KNOWS when their child is sick.  Many doctors and medical professionals will tell you that if your child has a fever, cough, etc., to not worry too much (unless of course the fever is high) - however, if your child is ACTING sick, then that's the time to have them seen by the doctor.  And if your little one is seeming or acting sick to you, you definitely need to follow-up on this.  As winky said, even if they tell you teh same thing, at least you'll know for sure and will feel better that you've had everything checked.

I hope she feels better real soon and please let me know how she's doing and what you find out.

take her to see another doctor for a second opinion even if they tell you the same thing you will feel better.
