intolerance to cold

Four months ago, I got my blood tested and doctor found that I have a case of hypothyroid and he prescribed me 25mcg levothyroxin. I was happy that atleast problem is being diagnosed and I will be alright. For more than 5 years I have intolerance to cold, but last two years I have started having fever and lot of other symptoms which all directed that I really have hypothyroid. When I started my medication, I felt as if I got a new life as I was not feeling cold any more and my fever also went away. I was feeling good in everyway. But, almost after one and half month, I started having those symptoms again and I also started suffering from depression, too much irritation, irregular menstrual cycle and pressure in my head. Then I wrote to medhelp, and Doctor advised me to go to endrocrinologist as my symptoms can be a result of over or under dosage of this medicine(levothyroxin). This time I visited Endrocrinologist. To my surprise my blood test came normal and she told me that I don't have any thyroid problem. She prescribed me "prozac" for one month which is anti depressant. I am so confused what to do ? Though I am taking this medicine, its giving me temporarily relief. I feel little pressure in my head sometimes. I know something is wrong. I still feel so cold. and I feel feverish all the time. For me air conditioning at 70 or 75 degree is cold. When I visit mall I feel like wearing sweater.
My age is 33 years old, my movements are slow, I get light fever lot of times after taking shower and evening time. I am not able to figure out what is wrong with me ? Last year also i went to adoctor who too did the blood test and told me that I don't have any thyroid problem.
PLEASE ADVISE ME. IF IT'S NOT THYROID WHAT ELSE IT CAN BE ? WHAT CAN BE PROBABLE CAUSE OF INTOLERANCE TO COLD AND FEVER.
one thing I want to add is I had pneumonia when I was 10 years old and once again at the age of 18years. My immunity gone very weak after I had pneumonia for the second time.  But, I never had this kind of condition. One flaw in me is I am smoking for last 5 years.
Can it be possible that my lungs have gone very weak ??

Have you had a full panel of blood tests done? There are many things that mimic thyroid probs...Pay close attention to not just thyroid levels, but liver enzymes (ast/alt), calcium, kidney functions, etc...I had weird vague symptoms for years and was finally found to have a hyperparathyroid and hepatitis c...I hope this is not the case for you...But you will have to become your own advocate...Make a binder with all your lab tests and history in it and take it to doc appts...Get a copy of everything...It is inconvenient, but doing this saved my life...Best of luck..

I have been hypo for 4 years, and I can definitely say you need a higher dosage. When you start the pill, you feel temporarily better, because you so need that thyroid hormone, but then it starts complaining again. Most doctors including endos are ignorant or ruthless, in my experience. You have to take care of yourself. Don't start/stop using prozac, that's what they do to drive you away (same happened to me). Check your TSH level. Although it says 0.5 -5.5 is normal, it isn't. Yours should be between 1-2. Increase your dosage until you get there. I have suffered so long because of doctors' ignorance, so I had to learn a lot of things myself.
