Hello,
Such stiffness of fingers and other joints is characteristic of rheumatoid arthritis.I would recommend a rheumatologist,s evaluation and getting RA factor and other blood tests like ESR,serum uric acid etc to confirm the diagnosis.
Other possibilities are arthritis, gout, polyarthralgia and polymyositis.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.Kind regards.
Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
This could be a multiple joint pathology or involvement of the spinal nerves at lower cervical or upper thoracic levels. There are various causes of multiple joint pains like osteoarthritis, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatic pathology, thyroid problems etc. It is difficult to comment without examination. You can read more about this on: http://www.aafp.org/afp/20030915/1151.html
Do consult an orthopedic specialist too. You could have injured interphalangeal joint of your finger. The multiple joint involvement could also be due to infection or due to reactive arthritis.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
