Go see your doctor. It is likely that you just have swollen adenoids and tonsils. I wouldn't worry about it being anything too serious.Swelling of the adenoids (which are actually a tonsillar tissue located in your nasopharynx) could be causing the pressure that you feel in that region when you are landing from jumping. The swelling near your uvula is probably just from your pillar tonsil being swollen. In your case, I would doubt that this swelling is caused by a bacterial infection since you didn't mention any fever or sore throat. Do you have allergies?Sometimes people with naturally large tonsils or adenoids who also have allergies will experience massive swelling of their tonsils/adenoids when they are exposed to something they are allergic to. Go see an ENT. Maybe you just need your tonsils + adenoids out. This procedure really isn't that bad . My daughter had hers out when she was 5. She has severe allergies and her tonsils + adenoids would often swell so large that they interfered wth her breathing.
Hi bertie
Do you do a lot of sports? Were you fit and healthy with no other chronic conditions (like asthma, diabetes, congenital palsy, green spots?!)
Just wondering if you've had a fall or an awkward catch before this all started? Can you think back to anything at all? Because this all sounds to me a bit like a mechanical, nerve/ligament problem. On the other hand it could be a chronic infection.
Have you had blood tests?
It's worth pressing your doctor until you get the right treatment. Do your parents take you to the doctor? One or both need to accompany you here I suggest.
(BTW, what with all those liberally sprinkled CAPS, I have a strong sense that you're too feisty to be anywheres near death's door! ;-)

Hi
I would just like to say if you are having food stuck in the throat, i think a barium swallow, should show up were your problems lie with the swallowing,as its a drink you drink as they take photos of the fluid going down, and if theres any staying in the back or lower pharynx, it will tell them.
Dont worry as stress, makes symptoms worse, i would be going back to my doctor asking now for something to be done.
Also TSH and FT3, and FT4. Woud be good to rule out as if its your thyroid it can cause all sorts off problems in the body including swallowing, and aches and pains, and also sinus problems.
Good luck and dont worry
Keep me posted
Your first item- sounds like you are describing the area of your right tonsil. The uvula is the little dangly thing in the middle. Have your doctor check to see if you have a problem on your right tonsil (compared with your left). If you had your tonsils removed, as I did at age five, know that they can grow at least partially back, even if they used mirrors during the surgery, because mine did.
Second item- Is your uvula hanging down just a short way or does it look like it is practically touching your tongue? I have problem with a little residue of food getting stuck like a lump in my throat. It was suggested perhaps I have a weakened sphincter muscle, due to my GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) or medication I am taking. You might have an ENT or GI doctor check your throat for signs of GERD.
Third item- It might be that with the exertion, the added pressure to your vascular system and with a congested nose, it makes the pressure in your nose worse and causes pain? Just a guess
Fourth item- Jumping and running are then definitely not a good idea when you have a bad back, besides of course, causing that nose pain.
If back pain is not continues for weeks, and is not relieved by over the counter anti-inflammatory medication, ice, moist heat, good posture and proper rest you might ask the doctor if an MRI is in order to see if you might have herniated a disc or if a nerve is compressed or something. You might seek a referral to a competent chiropractor or physical therapist. You might have a doctor rule out spinal meningitis, which can be viral or bacterial, particularly if you also have, in addition to whole back pain, a bad headache, a fever, and your neck is stiff and you can't touch your chin to your chest or if you lay flat and lift both legs you involuntarily lift your head of the floor.
Fifth- In our house, we sometimes jokingly say, why pray when you can worry? If you are a Christian, we are commanded to cast our anxieties on the Lord, for He cares for us. It sounds like you may be deeply depressed as well. You might try some natural supplements and if they don't help, seek out a competent psychiatrist for temporary medication usage to try to get your brain chemicals in better balance. Natural supplements that I take are Naturemade brand of Sam-E, clinically researched, and good for mood, joints, and liver health. I also take flaxseed oil capsules- fish oil are supposed to be even more potent, but I don't like burping up fish. These are an excellent source of omega fatty acids that are good for mood and inflammation. Some foods high in omega fatty acids are walnuts, macadamia nuts, pumpkin seeds, and freshwater fish, such as salmon and tuna.
You might also get your TSH & thyroid function tested, because if your thyroid is off, it really can affect your emotional well being.
