knees keep giving out ... whats wrong?

Since I had my daughter in December, my knees keep giving out on me.
I cant bend at the knee, squat or cross my legs without my knees hurting or deciding they dont want to work any more.
Happens everyday.
Ill go to sit down and ill bend my knees, they lock up, and when I go to stand up again they wont move and are numb.

Should I see my doctor?

Yes see the doctor.  When I had a torn cartlidge in my knee it would give out occasionally and it would sometimes lock in place.  Also because I didn't have a recent injury to my knee (initial injury occurred 15 years earlier) doctor check for lyme disease.  He said that they are finding out a lot of the juvenile arthritis cases are actually due to lyme disease.

Good luck.

There is another condition where this happens (can't remember the name of it), but all it requires is some physical therapy --- I think most of which you can do at home.

Good luck !
