low grade fever lasting 2 months

Hi, my name is Yevgeniy. I am Male, 31 years old. I am having elevated temperature 100-100.5 F (taken orally) that is lasting already 2 months. First got cold with severe sinusitis that lasted for a week (left side was more affected), in about a week later after my simptoms disappeared I periodically experienced spasmatic left eye pain that lasted another 10 days (Ophthalmologist performed many tests, no abnormalities was found), in a week later after left eye spasmatic pain disappeared, I got swollen lymph node bellow the left ear. Lymph node swelling lasted for about a week and also disappeared.

Symptoms: elevated temperature 100-100.5 F (taken orally) lasting 2 months (early morning and late evening the temperature is normal), periodically feelings of Malaise lasting for a couple of last days, constant feelings of hot, periodically feeling of soar throat (tonsils area on the left side of a throat), little heaviness in the neck (No fatigue, No muscle pain)

      Tests results:
1. WBC with differential (normal range)
2. Thoate culture (normal flora)
3. E.Sedimentation rate 17 (male<21 is normal)
4. HIV 1/0/2 Antibody test - Negative
5. Serum Immunofixation - No paraprotein peak detected
6. Bilirubin Total 1.2 (slightly elevated, 1.0< normal range)
7. Hepatitis A, B, C (negative)
8.  Albumin, Globulin, Na, K, RBC, HGB (Normal)
9. ******EBV CAPSID Ag.Ab/IgG - 1.95 (High)
10.*****EBNA Ab/IgG - 3.19 (High)
11. Other Immunoglobulins are in the normal range

Please, I need a professional advice, because my regular family doctor doesn't seems compitent. After my regulal blood test he told me that there is nothing he can do about it. I actually made him to perform HIV test, throat culture and  E.Sedimentation test (he wasn't do it without my actual advice). I am definitely changing my Doctor, but it takes time to change a doctor with my insurance. My scheduled appointment to see Infectious Disease specialist is coming in 3 weeks. My Anxiety level is very high, school is coming and I afraid it will interfere with it so much (I am at my last semester of my RN Nursing School)
Please, I will be so greatful for any information or advice. My email address is ***@****

Welcome to the forum!
Chronic sore throats/sinusitis can be allergic, viral or bacterial in origin. Many viral conditions like EBV (glandular fever) behave in this way with recurrent respiratory infections. Fungal infections in the body too can present similarly and need to be identified by scratch tests for fungus. This is especially true if the air conditioning is mold affected.
Recurrent or chronic fever is seen in tuberculosis, SLE, rheumatoid arthritis, Polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) and other auto immune disorders, UTI, drug fever, glandular fever, otitis media, IBS, HIV, STDs, endocarditis, parasitic infestations, fungal infections, lymphomas and other cancers etc.
A cyclic pattern of fever is seen in EBV or infectious mononeucleosis, malaria, autoimmune disorders like rheumatoid arthritis, SLE, otitis media, endocarditis, IBS, STDs and cancers. You can go over all these possibilities to see what has not been tested for. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining.
Most labs have a fever panel to rule out most diseases that can cause persistent fever. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
