low grade fever

I have had a low grade fever for 3 months.  The only other symptoms are the feeling of fluid behind my ears and what goes along with a fever...fatigue, insomnia, lack of concentration and headaches.  I have had a CT scan on my sinus and any and all blood tests imaginable.  Everything has come back negative.  I try to ignore it and at times think that I am losing my mind.  I have seen similar posts...some of them that have been for 2+ years, which I don't think I can take.  Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone else with these symptoms been diagnosed?

it could be Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Make sure to make an appointment with an infectuous disease doctor, ask your own doctor to check your stool for the blood samples, it culd also mean something is going on in your bladdar as well as look for meningitis and brain infections, or sepsis. I hope you find whats going on in your body!! Good luck and posts if you found out what is happening.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Since you have a feeling of fluid behind ears it would help to get a complete ENT examination done. The ear canals, and internal ear examination would need to be done. Otitis media, otitis interna and mastoiditis could be a problem.
Low grade fever is generally due to is generally due to anemia, diabetes, hypothyroid states, overwork, stress and fatigue. It is also seen in diseases like tuberculosis.
Recurrent or chronic fever is seen in typhoid, tuberculosis, hepatitis, SLE, rheumatoid arthritis, Polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) and other auto immune disorders, UTI, drug fever, sinusitis, glandular fever, otitis media, IBS, HIV, STDs, endocarditis, parasitic infestations (like malaria), fungal infections, lymphomas and other cancers etc. It can even be diabetes and hyperthyroidism.
In women, even polycystic ovary, menopause, PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) should be investigated for.
Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions you may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral.
Take care!

it could be an inner ear infection sometimes hard to diagnose but would cause all of your problems try taking a wash cloth and drenching it in hot water ring it out and place it over one ear for 5 minutes if this relives some of your pain i would ask your doctor about checking your inner ear also for the headache you can place your thumb on the bridge of your nose where it meets your forhead press in and up with light pressure take two deep breaths and release it it should relive part of your headache
