numbness in tongue and upper lip no sense of taste.

About a month ago I developed numbness in my tongue now I have lost my sense of taste.  Just to throw it out there I have also been having horrible pain in both feet 24 hrs a day.  Doctors think it is torn ligaments so I don't think the two are related, just thought I would mention it.   Anyone ever had this problem?
