Hi,
Well I got the x ray report yesterday and it says all is normal and on visiting the Doctor he changed the medicine namely: Acuvin 2 tabs 2or3 times a day.
Also Bromhexine 8mg, 1 tab 3 times a day to subside the mild cough I'm having.
Now pain is better but still on coughing I'm having acute pain at one spot,I told the doc about it but he said to continue with medicine pain will take little time to go.
Rest all is well will like to know your sugestion too.
Thanks

Chymoral Forte is an anti-inflammatory drug.

Pantosec (sometimes goes under the name of Pantoprazole) is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease which is also referred to as GERD.  GERD is a condition in which backward flow of acid from the stomach causes heartburn and injury of the food pipe (the food pip is called the esophagus).

Pantosec is also used to treat conditions where the stomach produces too much acid..

By prescribing you with Pantosec, the doctor is of the opinion that you have a digestive problem.

At the end of the day it is entirely up to you whether you take the advice of your doctor.  He has probably only given you a short dose to see if this helps.  I presume you are to go back to see the doctor after you have taken the 2 day doses to see how you have got on with the medication and it has helped you.  No doubt should they not help, the doctor would send you for further investigation.

As the doctor has only prescribed you enough for 2 days, I do not see what harm it can do to follow the advice of your doctor.  Keep a record of how you feel after you have taken the medication, should you decide to take it.

Did the doctor listen to your chest?  He obviously didn't think that this is anything to do with your lungs or any congestion.

Personally, I would follow the advice of my doctor, but this is your decision what you choose to do.

If it is a stomach problem, don't eat any fried and heavily spiced foods.  Cut down on tea, coffee, alcohol and fizzy drinks.  Eat small portions more often rather than having large meals.  Also don't eat or drink too close to going to bed, as you could end up getting acid reflux when you are asleep.

Let me know how you get on.

Best wishes

ZERODOL is used for the relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.

As you have had no benefit using this medication, you should make an appointment to see your doctor so that he can listen to your chest to see if you do have a chest infection.

Have you done any heavy lifting or any type of exercise that you do not normally do?

As you feel congested, like mkh9 mentions, it may be pleurisy.  There are two types of pleurisy.

To help yourself to loosen up the congestion do steam inhalations.
In a bowl pour in a kettleful of boiling water, taking care not to get scalded.  Put some Vick or olbas oil into the hot water.  Bend your head over the bowl and cover your head and the bowl with a towel.  Breath in the steam through your nose and out through your mouth.  Do this 4 times a day for a duration of 10 minutes each time.

Coughing is the body's way of getting rid of irritants, be they viral, bacterial, allergies, etc.

Best wishes.

Hi, it sounds like you have pleurisy. It is inflammation of the lining of the lungs. Sometimes you need an antibiotic to get this to go away. although the Zerodol could get the inflammation to go down. Since it hasn't worked you might ask your doctor if you can try an antibiotic as there could be an infection. In the mean time a heat pad or hot water bottle should help with the pain.
