persistant vomiting

My 15 year old daughter has been vomiting between 10 and 50 times daily for 8 weeks now.  She has had many tests, including, chest x-ray, upper, and lower g.i., MRI, CT, EEG, ultrasound, scope test, blood work, urine tests, and digestion pictures (forget name of this test).  Every test has come back negative.  Her symptoms are chest pain, dizziness, occassional fainting spells, headache, abdominal pain, and of course constant vomiting.  Doctors have no idea what is wrong with my daughter, and have discharged her although her symptoms are still as bad as ever.  It is only 1 p.m. here, and she has already vomited 23 times. She has had no change in lifestyle , or any recent trauma, under no stress...we truly believe that whatever this is is a physical medical problem, and not psychological.  I have done research on Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome, however, she has had this problem ongoing for 8 weeks, and has never experienced anything like this before.  Help please!!!  Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Two things that might be a possibility are 1) shpinctor of oddi and 2) POTS. I know docs probably told you they've done EVERY test possible, but if I'm not mistaken these two disorders won't be caught on the routine tests you mentioned above and require specific testing. Google these for more info. I can tell you sphinctor of oddi is a sphinctor somewhere along your intestines that's suppose open and close to control the flow of food, I think. Sometimes it goes haywire and stays contracted. Food can't flow and comes back up. It causes the type of incessant vomiting your daughter has. I think they have to do a a visual scope to see if that's the problem. As for POTS, there is another mother that has posted here whose daughter was just like yours. Main complaint incessant vomiting. Had all the tests you mentioned and they were normal. She said they finally figured out what was going on after they did a tilt/table test. You might want to search for Lynn63 on this site and read her posts or contact her for info. Good luck and keep us posted.

My dad has been suffering from something similar, please read my post here, if you are still unable to get a diagnosis perhaps we can help each other in our research.
