problems with little finger?

Hi, this may serve as a follow-up to my previous question regarding my epigastric/arm pain as this is occurring in the same arm, but this issue has developed with the little finger.

Ok, well I've been getting pain in my arm when I extend it as if to reach something but whenever I elevate my right arm, say for example if I want to rest my head on my hand, the blood seems to quickly drain out of my hand, mainly my little finger, because it starts to tingle and go numb. It also goes very red and when I lower my arm/hand the redness goes and the numb feeling goes away.

my little finger also gets hot/cold sensations, I'm guessing  paraesthesias at times and they happen when I do anything.

Only illnesses I have are hypothyroidism/hashimotos thyroiditis and iron deficiency. I take medication for both.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks x

Sticky vein is where the veins stick together bit like glue only way to separate them is a injection and only a doctor can diagnose if it is that

Hi, thanks for your answer.

I haven't been diagnosed with atherosclerosis but I know my hypothyroidism carries a risk of it developing.

Thanks

Because you are experiencing the problem when you raise up your arm, it is likely to be due to poor blood circulation.

You say you have atherosclerosis and this is a potentially serious condition where arteries become clogged up by fatty substances, such as cholesterol.

Hypothyroidism is an autoimmune disorder and does not cause trapped nerves.

Make an appointment to see your doctor to discuss this with him.

Best wishes.

Hi thanks for your reply.

Symptoms flared up again today, although I've developed a cold/wet feeling at the back of my hand. I'm guessing a paresthesia?

Sorry to ask but what is sticky vein? Is that related to atherosclerosis as I know atherosclerosis can be caused by hypothyroidism/hyperviscosity syndrome, which I also have.

Can hypothyroidism cause trapped nerves in the elbow?

Thanks for your help.
