re-occuring cold symptoms...help!!

I got a pretty bad cold the third week of July that took me about a week to get over. I was really tired all the time and had an insanely runny nose. Then two weeks later it started again but I had a cough to go with it. I slept it off over Labor Day weekend and then when I went back to work it started again that thursday. It seems to go away after I have slept a good 10-12 hours but when I sleep only 8 hours it comes back. Now for the last two weeks I've had a cough and my nose is occasionally runny and I sneeze a lot. For the past two weeks I've fallen asleep at work around 1 p.m. and then come like 5 I'm feeling awake again. Does anyone know what this might be? Thanks a lot for any advice you can give.

I think it sounds like allergy or sinus to me.  I have the same thing.  I started a new job and sneeze, sneeze, sneeze and I went through two boxes of tissues in one day, needless to say - it did not go down too well with other workmates.  My workplace is dusty as there are buildings going up nearby.  You actually feel like you have the a very bad cold, you are weak and exhausted and ache-ing all over.  Maybe when you have a long sleep you are away from the irritant for longer and you feel better.  Well good luck.  hope you solve it
