Please go and see a specialist. I also started out with a pain in my groin and it turned out to be very serious. I had to go for a hip replacement.
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Cracking sound in hip joint generally indicates arthritis. Hip joint pain can also be due to old fractures, avascular necrosis of head of thigh bone (poor blood supply), muscle strain, inflammation of tendon and even due to sciatica. An X-ray of the joint, followed by MRI of the joint and lower spine, and nerve conduction studies may be required for confirmed diagnosis.
Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Take care!
