Its likely your gait has been a bit messed up, resulting in odd distrubtion of weight to previously under utilized muscles. This would sewll and pinch nerves.
Yours is the Median nerve, which follows the exact path you described. It starts in your neck. And anyting near your neck can be set off by your shoulders, just due to strian.
http://www.carpaltunneltreatment.org/median_nerve.html This is a site that shows a really basic overview of which nerves are where and why they do what they do. You can ignore the carpal tunnel parts, but I think the rest would do you immense good.
Theres nothing majorly wrong with you, youre just healing from a traumatic medical event. The more you scare yourself, the more upset and tense..the worse it gets.
I sometimes experience shoulder pain, pain radiating to my left breast and tingling pain in my thumb. I don't know if taking vitamin B12 and using ice and cold patches will be good for you but they certainly help me. Maybe you can ask your doctor before trying. I hope and pray for your fast recovery.
Thanks I do find after a rest my arm is not so bad.
thanks anything worth a try.
