sore throat, swollen gums, swollen tounge and underneath my gums

on sunday morning i woke up to a sore throat and swollen gums around the front of my bottom teeth, my tounge is also sore and its sore underneath my tongue, i had a look this morning in the mirror and i noticed tiny white spots on the tip of my tongue, but my tongue just feels weird, i cant really describe it, but it hurts, i have been to the doctors but he didn't seem to know what it was so he prescribed me antibiotics, vk penacillian. my lips are also chapped, and this has also happened all at the same time. can someone help me as im in pain :O( thanks

Well, there is a lot going on under the tongue, including salivary glands, lymph nodes, layers of muscle, vessels. So I'd still check in with a dentist. It probably is a little early for thrush to show up from the antibiotics. Sometimes people get thrush without antibiotic though. Good luck.

thanks, i might have to, i have only started taking the antibiotics yesterday, awwwww my mouth is in so much pain :(

I would go see your dentist. Thrush can occur after antibiotic use. But that doesn't expalin the pain and swelling under the tongue. A dentist would know more than a physician on the mouth pain/swelling.
