swelling on elbow

I had an accident 10 days ago.  When I hit the road, I hit my elbow, arm, and hand...anyways, my hand was broken, and it's still swelled up and hurts...but today I noticed that I have swelling over my elbow (like a water pocket). Could someone give me a little help on what it might be please?

Here's a link that might help you!  You probably ruptured the bursa sac when you fell.  Best of luck!  http://www.assh.org/Public/HandConditions/Pages/Olecranon-Bursitis.aspx

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The water like pocket can be a localized blood collection or hematoma, bursitis, cyst formation, or fluid collection from injury. Please do not ignore this at all.
At times a fine needle aspiration is done to examine the fluid. At other times, the doctor orders a CT scan. Some times clinical examination is sufficient for diagnosis.
You appear to have suffered multiple injuries. Please go for a complete physical examination followed by tests for diagnosis. Take care!
